The Crow's Nest is a natural evolution of the surprise-you-with-the-menu approach. They lure in passers-by with the pinball machines visible in the front window; reel the customers in, so to speak, with the old movies projected on the wall and then land them when they find items like frog legs, bacon, arugula and tomato sandwiches, and pear Gorgonzola bread pudding on the one-page plain-paper menu.
What's more, all but two of the menu items are $10 or less. A diverse selection of about three dozen beers is offered, listed on a chalkboard at the far end of the bar.
The Crow's Nest is both a great place to hang out and drink and a value-price restaurant with many pleasant surprises on its menu.
